Fostering For The Hare BnB Rescue

Thank you for your interest in becoming a foster hero! Fostering is the bridge between a rabbit’s difficult past and their "hoppy" ever after. By opening your heart and home, you provide a safe space for a rabbit to heal, socialize, and wait for their forever family.

Why Fosters are Essential

As a foster-based rescue, our capacity to save lives depends entirely on the number of available foster homes. When you foster, you aren't just helping one rabbit; you are freeing up space for us to rescue another from hoarding situations, shelters, or abandonment.

What We Provide

We want our fosters to feel fully supported. The Hare BnB Rescue provides:

Medical Care: All pre-approved veterinary expenses are covered at our partner clinics.

Guidance: 24/7 support for any behavior or health questions.

Supplies: Depending on donations, we often provide starter kits including hay, litter boxes, and enclosures.

Your Role as a Foster

A Safe Space: A quiet, indoor area (X-pen or rabbit-proofed room) where the bunny can stretch their legs.

Daily Care: Providing fresh water, hay, leafy greens, and pellets.

Socialization: Spending time with the rabbit to help them gain confidence and learn to trust humans.

Communication: Providing updates and photos to our team to help us find the perfect adoptive match.

Frequently asked questions.

How long is the commitment? Fostering can last from a few weeks to several months until the rabbit is adopted.

Can I foster if I have other pets? Yes! We just ask that foster rabbits are kept in a separate area from other animals for safety.

What if I’ve never had a rabbit? No problem, We will walk you through the entire process and answer any and every question.
